The Patrol Bureau is the largest Law Enforcement Section within the Sheriff’s Department, with 105 sworn officers assigned to the bureau. The Patrol Bureau administers contracts with the villages of Machesney Park and New Millford as well as the Winnebago County Forest Preserve District.

The Patrol Bureau is comprised of two divisions: the Uniformed Services Division and the Machesney Park Division. Both of these divisions have a Lieutenant assigned to them as Commanders.
