The Records and Warrant entry Division provides department personnel with timely and complete information regarding all documented policing activities of the Sheriff’s Department, including Machesney Park. The department consists of two sections: Records and Warrants.

They are responsible for all data entry of police reports, accidents, tickets, warrants, orders of protections, sex offenders, gang members, and housing authority bans  into P.I.M.S. (Police Information Management System), Leads and NCIC. The office processes inquiries from other agencies, subpoenas, FOIA requests, insurance requests and expungements. The Records Section maintains all files of police reports and provides monthly reports to the department. Public hours are from 8 am to 5 pm, excluding weekends and holidays.
